Pupil's disturbing behaviour at primary school

The diploma thesis deals with disruptive behaviour of pupils at primary school. The theoretical part of this thesis explains the concepts of school discipline and disruptive pupils' behaviour; the chapters deal with displays, causes and forms of disruptive behaviour, its prevention and following solutions. The practical part provides qualitative research that was performed at the primary school. The aim of the research is a detection of frequent forms of disruptive behaviour occurrence during teaching at Primary School in Sušice. Among the research tasks was a comparison of teachers' and pupils' perspective of disruptive behaviour in the classes from the first to fifth. The research also observed what kind of behaviour is really disturbing for the pupils during their classes and what are the classmates' and teachers' reactions towards it. The following task, focused on supporting teachers - beginners, was to receive functional solution strategies from experienced teachers or prevention of disruptive behaviour. Using games and contests in English language teaching at elementary school level.

Abstract This Diploma Thesis deals with using games and competitions in teaching of English for the first level of primary schools. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the role of the game in English language teaching and its possible use in order to develop key language skills. The theoretical part deals with the psychological characteristics of the younger school age, then the theory of play and the developmental stages of children's play. In the last part of the thesis, there are described the different types of didactic games. The practical part consists of two parts. The first part presents didactic games, that are properly commented in terms of general educational and language objectives. Each of them was taught and reflected in terms of its effectiveness. The second chapter of the practical part presents the results of the research, which was conducted in the form of a guided interview with English language teachers at the elementary school, dealing with their experience in using English language lessons at primary school.

The topic of the thesis is class management as teacher'smanagerial activity. The aim of the thesis is, based on the perused documents, and the interview analysis made with three primary classteachers and three secondary classteachers, to draw a set and description of all manager competition and class management related activities. The thesis is supposed to become the source material for a comprehensive meta analysis of managerialcompetence in a teacher's professiography. Within the theoretical part, the thesis focuses on the comparisonof a teacher and a manager. There search section, using qualitative approach, deals with the issue of class management as managerial activity. The half-structured interview with six respondents have been used as a method, which are further analysed and the conclusion of the thesis has been elicited based on them.

Social competencies of a teacher at primary school

This diploma thesis deals with social competences of a teacher at primary school. The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis was to explore the area of the social competences in current professional literature and curricula, and to analyze the social competences of a teacher necessary to developing their optimal relationships with pupils, class as a social group, parents of students and colleagues. The emphasis was placed on the description of use of the social competences of a teacher in pedagogical interaction, educational communication, the management of the class and during resolving conflicts. Special focus was given to teacher self-reflection, the importance of which is that it is the social competence enabling and influencing the development of other skills. The aim of the empirical part of this thesis was to determine which of thirteen social competences of a teacher at primary school are considered to be the most important in pedagogical interactions for pupils, parents of students and the teachers. We also examined how primary school teachers themselves applied and reflected thirteen monitored social competences in the situation of conflict, which of the thirteen social competences they used when they were resolving the conflict and which of the competences they did not apply.
